Rifle & Pistol Ranges

At ASC, safety is our top priority. Our range officers maintain vigilant oversight of both the rifle and pistol firing lines, ensuring that all shooters adhere to our strict safety protocols. Pistol shooters are positioned to stand and engage targets, for added safety. Rifle shooters have the opportunity to practice their marksmanship from a seated position at distances ranging from 50 to 300 yards. For those wishing to shoot from alternate positions—such as kneeling, prone, or standing—range officers and management are available to address specific needs and provide guidance.

Rifle & Pistol Ammunition Specifications: the use of tracer/incendiary ammunition is strictly prohibited on the range.

Important Guidelines for Long Range Shooting:

For those looking to push their limits beyond the 300-yard mark, there are a few additional requirements to keep in mind:

Equipment Essentials: For ranges 200 yards and beyond, shooters must bring a stapler for target setup and accurate shot evaluation. Optional equipment: A spotting scope and shooting bags/sandbags are recommended.
Qualification Requirements: Before accessing the 400, 500 and 600-yard ranges, shooters must first qualify at the 300-yard distance. This involves placing five consecutive shots within a 6-inch white bullseye on a 300-yard target, with no stray shots outside the designated area.

These requirements ensure that all shooters are well-prepared and capable, creating a safer environment for everyone at the range.

Rifle Mania

Once a shooter is qualified to shoot past 300yds, they can take part in the Rifle Mania competition at 500 yds.

To participate, shooters will purchase a Rifle Mania target from the pro shop ($5.00+tax) and shoot a 5 shot group at 500 yds. These shots can be grouped anywhere on the target. The tightest group of the month will win a $50 ASC gift card. The tightest group of the year will receive a free one-year rifle and pistol individual membership. **Targets must only have 5 shots to qualify.

Special Note: November-March, the long ranges close at 5 pm.

1 Person/1 Gun: $28.00 + tax
Additional Gun: $5.00 + tax per additional gun
Additional Target: $1.00 + tax
Steel Targets: $10.00 + tax (Pistol Range use only)

Note: Only Customers who have paid the range fee will be allowed on the firing line.

Last Cease-Fire is 30 minutes prior to range closing time. Pro Shop closes 30 minutes prior to range closing time.

Long Range (200-600 yds) Including Varmint Village Hours

Please Note: the long ranges (200-600 yards), and Varmint Village close earlier than the normal range due to limited light past 100 yards.
With long range cease fires being called by the shooters, it is recommended to arrive early to avoid disruptions among other long-range shooters, and to make the most out of your time on the range.

Wednesday-Friday: The long ranges shut down at 5:30 pm (dst).

Saturday & Sunday: The long ranges shut down at 6:30 pm (dst).
