Get ready for an exciting day of clay sport shooting! Whether you’re a seasoned shooter or a beginner, this event is perfect for all skill levels. Come out and enjoy a morning of fun, competition, and camaraderie while supporting a great cause. We have reserved two courses this year for faster play!

Registration:

Early Bird Fee: $150 per shooter/$750 per team (5) if paid by 1/16/26. Regular Registration: $175 per shooter/$875 per team (5) if paid after 1/16/26 How to Register: See registration form in this packet!

Remember to receive the early bird price you must have paid before January 16, 2026 – no exceptions. If you want to pay by cash or check, please ensure we have your money/check in hand no later than January 16, 2026 to receive the early bird price.

Sporting Clays is an exciting form of clay pigeon shooting, commonly described as “golf with a shotgun.” It involves shooting clay targets at multiple locations (called stations). The original idea behind sporting clays was to create an experience that more closely reflects actual hunting conditions. This allows for all generations to share in the experience.

Each team is made up of five individuals.

There are 10 stations per course – each shooter shoots 6/4 targets at each station. Included in the cost to shoot is:

  • Ammo- 12 or 20 gauge only
  • Eye and ear protection – yours to keep afterwards
  • Range officers are available
  • Scoring and computerized printout of scores
  • Loaner guns are available at no cost – 12 or 20 gauge – limited to one gauge per team

(subject to availability)

  • Your guns – feel free to bring your own gun (12 or 20 gauge)
  • Continental breakfast provided before the tournament
  • BBQ lunch, drinks, and dessert following the shoot
  • Awards for the best scoring teams and other categories
  • Door prizes, Silent Auction, and special Valentine’s Day booth

ZCHECF is a 501c (3) non-profit organization. Proceeds from this event will benefit local Zonta scholarships for your women in high school and university level; as well as other local and international service projects. SHOOTERS

All shooters will be assembled into a team of five. If you register as a single shooter or a team of less than five, we will pair you up with others.

It really helps our organization if we can have all of our shooters/teams set before the day of the event. Everything runs much more smoothly. Therefore, we are offering an incentive to get your names, teams, and payments all done early before the event.

GAMES

We have two games available to play before the actual competition. The games start at approximately 9:00 am. To participate, please be sure you pay for the extra games when you register and check in at registration before 9:00 am.

Game #1: PAIR IN THE AIR (Cost: $20 per shooter)

Two targets are thrown at one over the lake. Ten targets per shooter.

Game #2: TWO MAN FLURRY (Cost: $20 per shooter)

A team of two shooters attempt to break twenty targets in 45 seconds.

MULLIGANS

Shooters can pre-purchase an extra two targets (“mulligans”) that get added to your final score. These are a maximum of five mulligans (for a total of ten). To participate, please be sure you pay for mulligans when you register, prior to the event starting.

Each mulligan costs $20 and gives you two extra targets. You can purchase up to five mulligans.

GOLF CART

Golf carts are available for $100 each on a first-come, first-served basis if you want personal transport for the course. (Subject to availability.) Please let us know as soon as possible.

LUNCH

Lunch for guests at the event costs $30 per person. Non-shooters are welcome; please let us know in advance.

Two Man Flurry Game – $20 per shooter

This game begins at approximately 9:00 am. You can purchase in advance or pay the morning of the event.

Golf Cart (subject to availability) – $100
NON-SHOOTER Lunch – $30

All are invited to lunch; however, we request that you pay for the lunch for “non-shooters.”
